Candidates Promoting Better Pay and Benefits for Federal Employees Re-elected

As recently reported by Government Executive, a number of candidates that have promoted better pay and benefits for federal employees were re-elected during the 2022 midterm elections. One of the candidates that were re-elected was Abigail Spanberger, who won a very tight race in Virginia’s 7th district. Another candidate that won was Jennifer Wexton, representing Virginia’s 10th district.

Both of these women have used their positions in Congress to promote the pay and benefits of federal employees. However, they may have to stand in the gap in light of potential pay and benefit cuts as power in the House of Representatives is transferred to Republicans.
