Communication Improvements for AFGE Local 17

AFGE Local 17 has heard the criticism regarding communicating with members and is announcing some communication improvements.

Communication Improvements for AFGE Local 17

There’s been recent criticism that Local 17 could do a better job communicating with members. I agree. Attached is Local 17’s first newsletter, The Advocate, by John-Ryan (JR) Cummings and Megan-Brady (MB) Viccellio. Furthermore, at today’s membership meeting, the members voted to hire a web developer to update and manage our neglected website. My goal is to have members migrate to our website over the next several months, where they can find valuable information about conditions of employment, what Local 17 is doing to protect their rights, and any other relevant information.
